Oranjedok: 61 redeveloped homes

Zeeuwland has replaced no less than 61 homes with new buildings in Bruinisse, on the Deestraat, the Koningin Julianastraat, the Prinses Wilhelminalaan and the Prinses Beatrixstraat. In collaboration with Tarra Architectuur, the neighbourhood has now received the royal and sturdy appearance that it deserves. At the same time, the homes are provided with living comfort through the use of robust and pure materials.

This neighbourhood, which has street names that refer to our Dutch Royal Family, was named ‘Oranjedok’ during its redevelopment. It is a name that stands for a neighbourhood with character, as determined by, among other things, the water directly behind the nearby dike and the historically situated shipyards, ramps, docks and many other activities that were once related to the fishing industry.

The owner-occupied properties and rental homes were built in three phases. The construction of the final phase was completed in the second quarter of 2016.

Holonite contributed to this project with broad, dark grey sills and front door thresholds. All Holonite products are Cradle to Cradle certified and thus fit entirely within the ambition of sustainability that is central to this project.
