English Architectural Appearance

Wikselaarse ENG is a beautiful project on the outskirts of Voorthuizen. The first thing that stands out is the English architectural appearance that is so characteristically typical of this project. This is characterized by, among other things, the staggered facade line and the variation in gable ends and different gutter heights. This English architectural appearance can be found throughout the entire project, however, they are all unique homes and each house has its own look and feel.

Sustainability
Sustainability was central during the development and construction of this project. Wikselaarse ENG is special for the municipality of Barneveld because this is the first gas-free neighborhood within this municipality. As such, it is seen as a beautiful example for future projects. The homes are built as sustainably as possible and this is reflected in, among other things, the choices made for certain building materials. The color palette of the exterior is attuned to nature (natural tones).

Holonite
With its sustainable and especially versatile range of products, Holonite fits perfectly into the picture of this project. Holonite products are applicable for the most diverse building styles. In addition to our standard products, we also provide custom work. We are therefore happy to think along with our customers in devising and creating creative solutions. We have been able to make a beautiful contribution to this project. You will find various facade and finishing products that have all been produced in our factory in Tholen (Netherlands).

Striking Window Sections
Especially the window sections where various Holonite products have been incorporated immediately catch the eye. Many window sections are equipped with cross muntins, which enhances the English architectural appearance. The Holonite window sills in this project are made in the color natural brown-grey, and all window frames are finished in a similar color. Some window sections are finished with facade panels, which creates a frame. In the larger window sections, the Holonite window sills are interrupted by a stringcourse, which is executed in the same color as the window sill. Some houses are equipped with a unique decorative element above the window sections. These decorative elements are specially custom-made for this project and executed in the same color as the window sill. All these separate window elements together form a clear unity and additionally reflect the right English architectural appearance.

Premax Thresholds
Finally, this project features our Premax threshold systems. Premax® low-relief thresholds seamlessly connect to wooden frames and additionally, the threshold has resistance class II and police label Safe Living. Bouwgroep van Grootheest manufactures their wooden frames themselves and has chosen a Premax threshold from Holonite.
