Oranjedok: 61 Homes Redeveloped

In Bruinisse, Zeeuwland has replaced no fewer than 61 homes with new construction in Deestraat, Koningin Julianastraat, Prinses Wilhelminalaan, and Prinses Beatrixstraat. In collaboration with Tarra Architecture, the neighborhood has been given the royal and sturdy appearance it deserves. At the same time, the homes have been equipped with living comfort through the use of robust and pure materials.

The neighborhood with street names referring to our royal house has been given the name ‘Oranjedok’ during the redevelopment. A name that stands for a neighborhood with character, determined by, among other things, the water directly behind the nearby dike. And the traditionally situated shipyards, slipways, docks, and all kinds of activities related to the fishing industry.

The purchased and rental homes were built in three phases. The construction of the final phase was completed in the second quarter of 2016.

Holonite contributed to this project with wide, dark gray thresholds and front door thresholds with raised thresholds. All Holonite products are Cradle to Cradle certified and therefore fully align with the sustainable ambition that is central to this project.
