New construction of 60 apartments Uilennest

New construction of 60 apartments Uilennest

Last summer, 60 apartments at Uilennest in Hattem were completed. Commissioned by housing association Triada, these energy-efficient and life-cycle proof apartments were built by construction company Salverda and designed by Groosman Partners architects from Rotterdam. Holonite, in collaboration with Raab Karcher, contributed to this project with wheelchair thresholds and custom-made wall copings and window sills.

Built for accessibility and energy efficiency

The new apartments will primarily be rented to seniors. With this in mind, the building’s design took into account accessibility for people with disabilities. For instance, the bathrooms in the A-type homes are equipped with sliding doors, and on the ground floor, there is a covered parking garage exclusively for residents. Holonite supplied wheelchair thresholds to simplify access between spaces. The brand-new building is not only practical but also entirely energy-efficient. Residents thus enjoy low energy costs while having all conveniences at their disposal thanks to the comfort this construction method provides.

The design

The apartment complex is designed with a semicircular shape, creating a communal interior space for residents and visitors. The facades feature aluminum frames, bronze and white brickwork, and sand-colored prefab elements. Holonite added contrast with slightly curved wall copings and window sills in dark gray. The result is a dynamic building that secures all facilities for its residents.
