146 Houses Renovated in ‘s Hertogenbosch

In ‘s Hertogenbosch, in the Schutskamp district, 146 houses were renovated by construction company Van Wijnen Rosmalen B.V. in collaboration with carpentry factory van der Maazen, commissioned by housing corporation Zayaz. The houses, built in 1963 and 1964, were severely outdated and in need of renovation. The homes were adapted to meet modern living needs, allowing residents to continue living there comfortably. Contractor Van Wijnen Rosmalen carried out the work, as they were already the district contractor and had extensive experience with similar renovation projects. The work for the entire project was divided into communal and non-communal activities. The communal work was mandatory and largely involved improving and insulating the exterior of the homes. This included installing HR++ glazing (insulated glass) and ventilation grilles, refilling cavity wall insulation, and replacing the front and back doors of the houses. When hanging the new front doors, the thresholds were also replaced with Premax thresholds from Holonite. Premax thresholds seamlessly connect to wooden frames and have favorable insulation values. This optimized the wind and water tightness of the front doors and eliminated thermal bridges. As a result, residents are permanently freed from draft and moisture problems.
