Holonite’s composite thresholds are extremely suitable for outdoor applications. Thanks to the composition of composite stone and periodic cleaning, dirt and green deposits have no chance to adhere to the threshold.
The installation of a traditional exterior door threshold takes place on-site during construction. The thresholds are then placed under wooden, plastic, or aluminum frames. Jambs are supplied separately or applied by Holonite at the location of the frame posts.
Exterior door thresholds are not only resistant to various weather conditions but also contribute to an optimal transition of temperature differences between the interior and exterior of the building.
Additionally, an exterior door threshold ensures proper drainage. In combination with jambs, it prevents moisture from seeping into the frame posts. This prevents wood rot and draft and moisture issues. The thresholds are available in different colors and textures, made to measure.
